i am a pirate..........

hi
i am a pirate- 40% Elizabeth, 20% William Turner, 40% Jack Sparrow. elizabeth is fiesty, fiery is ready to go to other end of the world for her man and yet is her own woman, william is a man of honor- with the courage to fight for the right and jack has all style and luck. i just loved the way in the opening scenes he shot the bird from inside the coffin, or when he is trying chart the course according to his compass and is confused, comes up with an answer and revvs up the crew. u can say i m in love with him.

i havent seen the first installment of pirates of carribean enterprise, just watched the part two: pirates of the carribean - dead man's chest. its a whole rollercoaster- an adventure in purest form of the word. And it starts from the word go.

the scene where jack breaks out of the coffin and uses skeleton's leg for oar reminded me of the famous coffin scene of jaane bhi do yaaron. his becoming the chief of the tribals and final escape was an absolute adventure, though the mystery of east india company's tent on the island was never explained. jack is a shade of gray as he sends his friend will to flying dutchman knowing fully well the dangers awaiting the youngman. but he is also someone who sails back to his doomed ship. jhonny depp is amazing in the role, just goes to show an actor is an actor, all he needs is the right script/role to come with an all time great like this.

davy jones as a villain is very effective and whenever flying dutchman comes into view one only feels scared for the pirates. the villain as expected is shown to be heartless and cruel, with many forced into eternal servitude. the animation is amazing, the way human-sea life is fused in the undead bodies is highly creative and well executed.

elizabeth's pursuit of her fiancee is spirited and her loyalty to him unquestioned despite the hint of romance with jack sparrow. kiera knightley carries the role with elan, this is a major break for her- if she makes it good, sky is the limit for her.

though i like orlando bloom a lot his role is almost sidelined by the other two characters, still his is a pivotal character. probably his part will increase in the next edition.
